Choreographed in vivid changing hues of green, yellow, gold and rust to the sound of quaking aspen leaves; our Autumn festival of arts and entertainment in Taos Ski Valley is served up mostly by Nature as a short-lived beautiful celebration of seasonal change for everyone to behold and savor. Our community’s Autumn arts and entertainment events are offered as a means of enhancing this celebration.

Autumn Artist Weekend and Salon

Taos Ski Valley’s unique alpine mountain setting, crisp mountain air and exquisite Autumn colors offer an amazing opportunity for artists of all ages to enjoy. In celebration of this limited opportunity, our community invites everyone with sketch pads, easels, cameras and other media to creatively explore our valley’s colorful fall display while they last. For those who would like access to a birds eye view of Taos Ski Valley’s glorious fall display, check out the Top of the World Tours opportunity listed below.
We also invite you to enhance your creative experience by sharing techniques and insights at an informal outdoor artist salon starting at 3pm this coming Saturday afternoon (Oct 8th) on the back deck of the Bavarian during the last weekend of their sumptuous summer season’s food and beverage service. The Bavarian Lodge & Restaurant is located at 100 Kachina Road, Taos Ski Valley, NM 87525 (Directions to Bavarian »). Hope to see you there!

Taos Ski Valley has some of the best fall aspen viewing in the state! Northside will take you up into the aspen groves and then show you some views you would only see otherwise if you hiked at least two hours (with a lot of climbing). Northside will give you a chance to take a short walk in some aspen if you would like.
This is a tour you won’t want to miss. Approx. 2.5 hours. Private land access permits incl.

This year the biggest and best ever Oktoberfest in Taos Ski Valley. FREE and fun for all ages. Authentic Schuplatter band and dancers, german beer and food, activities for kids, Brat eating contest, Yodelling contest, Alkhorn blowing contests and so much more. The chairlift will be running all day and Village stores offer blowout prices on ski gear and sporting apparel.
